Empire State Plaza Concourse Wedding Photographer

Officially named the Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller Empire State Plaza, Governor Rockefeller wanted Albany to be “the most electrifying capital in the world.” The Plaza took 13 years to complete, designed by architect Wallace K. Harrison.

The Plaza houses a huge collection of American modern art spread out over the Concourse. It also boasts several restaurants, the State Capitol Building, The Egg (a performing arts center), the NY State Museum, the Corning Observation Tower and more than a dozen Memorial Galleries. All these richly documented pieces of Albany’s history are available to the public.

Wedding couples and bridal parties take advantage of the vast array of backgrounds the Plaza offers. From colorful metal sculptures to walking the Concourse with historic buildings behind you, there is no shortage of photo opportunities available.
