There are not enough words to describe Bri & Mike Santagato’s Mansion Inn wedding this past October!!
From the skull embroidered on the back of Bri’s getting ready shirt, to the hinged coffin ring box, to the skeleton couple on their invitations – you get the theme, right? These two were (are) the most down-to-earth, laid back duo ever. Our final consultation consisted of running through the timeline for about 15 minutes, nailing down certain shots they didn’t want Jeff and me to miss, and drinking a few Sam Adams’ together! Bam – awesome!
The Mansion Inn was the absolute perfect venue for the Santagato’s wedding. From the old-fashioned sitting rooms, to the music room with all its finery – not a bad photo op on the entire property to take wedding images. The only specific location Bri & Mike requested was the ‘creepy building’ across the street for bridal party and couple’s portraits to be taken. Love the look of everyone dressed up so fine with the backdrop of busted up buildings and windows. Their bridal party did not disappoint! Wrangling a large bridal party usually causes some stress, but this group was just as eager to come together and work quickly to get back across the street for the amazing cocktail hour the Inn is known for. Bri & Mike graciously extended the cocktail hour a little to ensure we had enough time to capture what they envisioned for their bridal portraits too. I think we nailed it, if I do say so myself!
Another unique aspect of their wedding was their use of music. With quite an eclectic taste, the Santagato’s were introduced to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman!” Added to the rocking entrance was a smoke machine – fantastic!! Bri and Mike’s 1st dance was a montage of their favorites, lasting 7 minutes. Never seen anything like this – very cool. Kudos to Fernando Bustamante from Conway Entertainment for laying these tracks down too!
Every couple goes through so much on his/her journey to marriage. Bri and Mike are not exceptions. To struggle and make it to the other side together, and come out even stronger, well, that shows how right you are for each other. Jeff and I wish you guys nothing but the absolute best as you officially start your lives together. Continued love for each other (and your zoo!!), good health, laughter, and faith will serve you well for years to come! It was our pleasure and delight to have been chosen to be part of your wedding day. And, your date of 10.13 is a good one, as Jeff and I got married 23 years ago on that day.
