Oh, how I love photographing Seniors!!! And Lauren was a dream! On time, prepared, hair/makeup awesome – off to a fantastic start.
Every Senior shoot is different, but Lauren’s session was unique in several ways. One, she came armed with 5 different outfits! The fastest changer in history too!! Two, she’s a tap dancer – never photographed a tapper before. We incorporated her shoes into some very cool shots. Lauren even braved lying on a sketchy ottoman we found abandoned by the building I’d chosen for this last set of portraits. What a trouper! Third, her willingness to sit/stand/lie and smile/look away/smirk and mess her newly coiffed hair up on demand – dream girl!! Asked and answered, my ‘job’ was SO easy. Fourth, Lauren’s mom acted as my assistant all evening! Kim moved my step stool to every new location down the Ballston Spa alleyway we were in; was a quick study in the art of reflector holding; moved rolling stairways with me; and most importantly, was her daughter’s biggest cheerleader!
Kim and I saw Lauren’s smile grow bigger and bigger as the session progressed. Looking at the back of my camera after some incredible shots, I had to run over to Kim and show her. Then I had to show Lauren how incredible she looked in these shots, zooming in on her sparkly eyes. And her dimple? The cutest thing ever! Confidence building with every outfit change, BFF surprising Lauren midway through the session – she totally rocked her Senior shoot.
The first of many memories for this young woman as she enters her Sr. year at Ballston Spa, Lauren deserves nothing but the best. Keep smiling and believing you can do anything, Lauren – you’re a beautiful person, inside and out. Enjoy your Senior year and knock em dead!!
