Cole Flynn’s Senior Session

FILED IN: Seniors

Every Senior session I photograph is bittersweet, but Cole’s was especially so. I’ve known this young man for 5 years, when our son, Troy, joined the Capital Renegades baseball team. Troy and Cole hit it off immediately (no pun intended!). So seeing Cole grow to the handsome young man you see here comes as a shock to me. Where have those years gone? Where is that baby face, goofing with my baby-faced boy?

Cole is the 3rd Flynn Senior I’ve had the privilege of photographing. Starting with Joelie 5 years ago, then Kylie 3 years ago, and now Cole. For Vanessa and Tom to have such faith in me, year after year, kid after kid, is an honor. Bonus – hanging and laughing with Vanessa on each of these shoots! She acted as prop manager for Cole’s baseball gear; clothes horse for his wardrobe choices; location scout for Cole’s final set of images.

Poor Cole – after we were done shooting – all of us sweaty – we stood and talked for another half hour! God knows, Vanessa and I can talk!! Cole never acted bored or said he wanted to leave. Manners – this kid has them!

Entering his Senior year at Saratoga High, Cole will do great things. Putting his mind to whatever task he sets for himself, he always comes out on top. We wish you nothing but the best, Cole, and hope this year is your finest yet. Congratulations and enjoy 2020!!

Erin, we were soooo excited about the shoot and you never disappoint. The girls have never had pictures as beautiful as the ones you shot of them, and we are so happy with Cole’s! We have Cole’s yearbook picture narrowed down to five….but can’t decide between the five because they all capture his personality so well. We’ve never done the sports pictures before but will absolutely cherish them, especially the one with his hat backwards, glove above his head, shine in his eye!! We are sad there are no more Flynn’s to have their senior portraits taken by you, but you can bet they’ll call when it comes time for wedding photos!

OMG, Vanessa – it didn’t even feel like I was ‘working’ at Cole’s session! Just talking and laughing and giving a few directions – and snapping away at the same time! Your family is awesome, and I always feel right at home when we see each other. Even if we haven’t seen each other in person for a year or more, we take up like we’ve just been together. Very excited to see Cole’s final yearbook pic. Family portrait session STILL needs to be done – just a few years late now!
