Marissa and Todd Gordon’s Van Patten Golf Club wedding was epic!! Everything was right on time; no stray people had to be rounded up for pictures; the weather was ideal; and the bride and groom looked like they stepped off the top of a wedding cake! Bridesmaids helped set up detail shots; groomsmen helped carry my gear from location to location; the videographer held my light stand so the wind wouldn’t blow it away; one bridesmaid made the wedding cake and tons of cupcakes. A joint effort for sure on September 29th!
Meeting and working with Marissa and Todd for over a year before their wedding made it very relaxing for all of us. They are both so down-to-Earth and easy to talk with, didn’t make crazy demands, just went with the flow of the day and totally enjoyed their own wedding! The only thing they definitely wanted was a picture of their dog, Mia, with Todd before leaving for Van Patten! People like this, who don’t ask for much, make you want to do more for them.
I sincerely hope to stay in touch with the Gordon’s, seeing as we live about a mile from each other! More than that though, some couples you just connect with and want to remain friends. I know I always say that “my” brides and grooms are special to me, and Marissa and Todd are no exception. Jeff and I wish you nothing but happiness, love, laughter and joy as you start your married life together. We hope when you look at your wedding images 25 years from now, you feel the same emotions then as you did on 9.29.18!
