Scheduling an outdoor portrait session at the end of November, in our area, is always risky. Even though we had sunny skies, the temperature was only in the mid-thirties for our shoot. The Lane’s were such troupers the entire time!! Wrapped up in fleece blankets in between poses, the kids made their mom and dad laugh. Candids shown to the family attempting to get Molly, their Black Lab, to cooperate made everyone laugh. Blankets and coats tossed at the last second to capture that “we’re not cold sitting on a fallen tree trunk in the woods” look resulted in some pretty amazing shots. And since this was the Lane’s 2nd official family portrait session in 10 years, they did a fantastic job! Hopefully another 10 years won’t go by before we work together again, and maybe we’ll book a session earlier in the season next time too. Thank you Vicki, Jeff, Ryan, and Meghan for being so open to suggestions, for staying out in the woods with me for over an hour, and for being such cool neighbors!!
